Area of Research Endogenous electric fields are naturally produced at wounds and provide a powerful signal to mobilize and guide cells into the wounds to heal. Dr. Zhao's research goal is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which wounds generate and regulate endogenous electric fields, and how cells sense the electric fields. He also aims to develop novel technology that exploits electric.

Dr. Li's Research interests include the study of the molecular mechanisms causing tumor resistance to radiation and chemotherapy. A prosurvival signaling network regulated by the transcription factor NF-kB and the mitochondrial protein influx is being investigated in radiation-induced adaptive response in normal cells and in the radiation-resistant cancer stem cells. The goal of these studies.
